The progress we’ve made in the Rhyolite Ridge Project’s permitting process during this year has been significant. We eagerly anticipate the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which marks the next major milestone in this journey.
We continue our ‘Get to Know the Ioneers’ feature with a focus on two new members of our geology and mining teams, provide an update on our ongoing consultation and work with the Esmeralda County Commission which recently resulted in a road maintenance agreement for the primary access road, and provide a recap and a look ahead to upcoming community events.

The Rhyolite Ridge Project’s permitting process continued over the summer, and we continue to work closely with the Bureau of Land Management and other parties as we await the next major milestone – the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). We continue our ‘Get to Know the Ioneers’ feature with a focus on our process team, discuss a recent report released from the International Energy Agency on Critical Minerals, and provide a note on a recent grant awarded to UNR focused on advancing the circular economy for lithium batteries within the State.

Over the last quarter there have been several positive developments here at Ioneer and the Rhyolite Ridge Project.
We were pleased to host a grand opening of the Tiehm’s Buckwheat Conservation Center on May 3 – a culmination of many years of work from our environmental team. And earlier this month we were proud to announce a partnership with Reno-based Dragonfly Energy, resulting in Nevada sourced lithium being used for Nevada manufactured batteries.
