We are proud to announce recipients of the inaugural ioneer Sustainable World Scholarship, which was established to invest in Nevada’s future by supporting Tonopah High School students pursuing higher education in Engineering, Science and/or Mining. Due to hardships unexpectedly presented to this year’s graduating students, ioneer increased their commitment to the scholarship program, selecting three recipients, rather than two.
We have presented $1,500 scholarships to Tonopah High School students Amanda Katzenbach, Cindy Miramontes, and Emily Allen. Amanda and Cindy will pursue their studies in Health Sciences at the University of Nevada Reno; Emily will attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she will major in Computer Engineering.
These scholarships are eligible to be renewed each year while the student remains in college and maintains a minimum grade point average.
